Choosing the Right Alliance
Your alliance choice dramatically impacts your progression speed and enjoyment. Look for alliances with 50+ active members - smaller alliances can't complete alliance events or provide consistent help. Check the alliance's power ranking; top 50 alliances on your server are usually well-organized and active.
Activity level matters more than total power. An alliance with 30 active players who log in daily is better than 60 players where only 10 are active. Check the alliance chat - if there are messages from the last hour, it's a good sign. Dead chat means dead alliance.
Language and timezone compatibility are crucial. If you play during Asian hours but join a European alliance, you'll miss rallies, events, and alliance help. Look for alliances that explicitly state your timezone or language in their description.
Requirements vary by alliance. Some require minimum power (e.g., 1 million), daily activity, or participation in alliance wars. Read the alliance description carefully before applying. If requirements aren't listed, ask in chat before joining - surprises lead to kicks later.
Don't be afraid to switch alliances. If your current alliance is inactive, has toxic leadership, or doesn't match your playstyle, leave and find a better fit. Loyalty is valuable, but not at the cost of your enjoyment and progression. Most players switch alliances 2-3 times before finding their permanent home.
Alliance War Strategy
Alliance wars are scheduled PvP events where alliances compete for territory and rewards. Wars typically last 2-4 hours and occur 2-3 times per week. Participation is crucial - even low-power players contribute by gathering intel, reinforcing structures, or distracting enemies.
Pre-war preparation starts 24 hours before. Leaders assign roles: attackers focus on enemy structures, defenders protect home territory, and scouts monitor enemy movements. Ensure your troops are healed, your heroes are ready, and you have shields or teleports in inventory for emergencies.
During war, communication is everything. Use alliance chat or external apps (Discord, Line) for real-time coordination. Call out enemy rally targets, request reinforcements, and report successful attacks. Silence leads to chaos and losses.
Target priority: enemy alliance center > resource buildings > defensive towers. Destroying the alliance center cripples their ability to coordinate. Resource buildings provide points and weaken their economy. Defensive towers are last priority unless they're blocking access to high-value targets.
Defensive strategy: garrison your alliance structures with troops and heroes. A well-garrisoned building can withstand multiple attacks. Rotate defenders - if one player's garrison is weakened, replace them with fresh troops. Don't let structures fall due to lack of reinforcements.
Post-war rewards are distributed based on contribution points. You earn points by: dealing damage to enemies, healing allies, gathering resources during war, and occupying territory. Even if your alliance loses, high personal contribution still earns good rewards.
Territory Control & Resource Management
Alliance territory provides passive resource generation and strategic advantages. Larger territory means more resource tiles, which translates to better gathering opportunities for members. Territory expands by capturing and holding resource points on the world map.
Resource points are contested areas that alliances fight over. Capturing a resource point requires occupying it with troops for a set duration (usually 30-60 minutes). During occupation, enemies can attack to contest control. Coordinate with alliance members to defend occupation attempts.
Territory buffs apply to all alliance members within the territory. These buffs include: gathering speed +20%, troop attack +10%, and construction speed +15%. The more territory your alliance controls, the stronger these buffs become. This creates a snowball effect where strong alliances get stronger.
Border defense is critical. Alliance territory has borders that enemies can cross to attack your resource tiles or members. Place high-power members near borders as deterrents. Enemies are less likely to attack if they see strong defenders nearby.
Resource tile etiquette: don't steal tiles from alliance members. If a member is gathering on a tile, find a different one. Tile stealing causes internal conflict and weakens the alliance. Most alliances have rules about tile priority - higher-power members get first pick on high-level tiles.
Alliance buildings within territory provide bonuses. Upgrade alliance buildings collectively by donating resources. Prioritize: Alliance Hall (increases member capacity), Technology Center (unlocks research), and Resource Warehouse (stores alliance resources for emergencies).
Alliance Technology & Development
Alliance technology provides permanent bonuses to all members. These bonuses are massive - a fully upgraded alliance tech tree can increase your combat power by 30-40%. Contributing to alliance tech is one of the best investments you can make.
Technology categories include: Military (troop attack, defense, health), Development (construction speed, research speed, resource production), and Alliance (rally capacity, help effectiveness, gathering speed). Prioritize military tech first for combat alliances, or development tech for growth-focused alliances.
Donations are how alliances fund technology research. Members donate resources (food, wood, iron, gas) to the alliance, which converts them into alliance points used for tech research. Donate daily - even small donations add up and show commitment to the alliance.
Donation rewards incentivize contributions. Most alliances offer rewards for top donors: gems, speedups, or priority in rallies. Even if your alliance doesn't have formal rewards, leaders notice and remember active contributors. This can lead to promotions or special privileges.
Technology research takes time. High-level tech can take 7-14 days to complete, even with maximum donations. Plan ahead and coordinate with leadership on which tech to prioritize. Don't start random research - follow the alliance's strategic plan.
R4 and R5 roles manage technology. R5 (alliance leader) and R4 (officers) decide which tech to research and can start/cancel research. If you're promoted to R4, consult with leadership before starting new research. Wasting alliance resources on wrong tech can set the alliance back weeks.
R4/R5 Leadership & Management
R5 (leader) and R4 (officers) are responsible for alliance success. Leadership requires time, communication skills, and strategic thinking. If you're promoted to R4, understand that you're now responsible for 50+ players' experience and progression.
Daily leadership tasks include: checking member activity, organizing rallies, managing alliance tech, resolving disputes, and planning for events. Expect to spend 30-60 minutes daily on leadership duties beyond your personal gameplay. If you can't commit this time, decline the promotion.
Communication is the #1 leadership skill. Post daily updates in alliance chat: upcoming events, tech progress, war schedules, and rule reminders. Use announcements for important information - they appear when members log in. Clear communication prevents confusion and keeps members engaged.
Member management involves recruiting, promoting, and sometimes kicking. Recruit actively to replace inactive members - a full alliance is stronger than a half-empty one. Promote active, helpful members to R3 (elite) to reward contribution. Kick members who violate rules after warnings - one toxic member can destroy alliance morale.
Event coordination is crucial. Plan alliance events in advance: schedule rallies during peak hours, organize gathering competitions, and coordinate for alliance wars. Post schedules 24 hours ahead so members can plan their gameplay. Spontaneous events have low participation.
Conflict resolution is inevitable. Members will argue over tile stealing, rally participation, or resource distribution. As R4/R5, mediate fairly and enforce rules consistently. Favoritism destroys alliances faster than any external threat. Document rules clearly and apply them equally to all members.
Succession planning ensures alliance continuity. If the R5 becomes inactive, the alliance can die. R5 should designate a trusted R4 as successor and share account recovery information (within game TOS). For R4s, train promising R3 members to eventually take your role. Leadership turnover is natural and healthy.
